Current occupation

Social worker : organizing individual and group projects for youngsters facing social difficulties in general.

Work experience

As a social worker I am daily involved with young people facing social exclusion. By using methods , based on the principles of "learning by experience" and a different approach , like the non -formal way of learning offers, young people have an opportunity to get out of their daily, boring and often negative context, to start a new discovery in a wider world!
When I worked in a closed institution for young offenders, I discovered that bringing new opportunities for young people , where they need to take personal responsibilities and have to deal with new positive oriented tasks , often leads to a new self esteem , a new moral spine, a fundament for a new start!

I am part of the pool of trainers of the national youth council of Slovenia (MSS), who organises the trainings on pre departure, on arrival and on mid term for EVS volunteers in Slovenia.

I ran several trainings for national agency's:
- FOR MOVIT NA MLADINA (NA of Slovenia)
* "Lets start international cooperation" : a CMS about cross border cooperation - May 2005 Radovljica Slovenia.

* " Training for mentors" : A TC for (Slovene)EVS mentors : Plickovica Slovenia ( 14 - 17 November 2007)

- For LEARGAS ( NA of Ireland)
* "One step beyond" : A TC on the use of sports and outdoor as a method in the approach of youngsters with less opportunities. : Limerick - Ireland June 2006

- For JINT (NA of Flanders (Belgium))
* "Doors wide open" : A TC on the use of outdoor as a method for approach of youngsters with less opportunities : 10 - 17 March 2008 Olloy sur Virion - Belgium.
