to get inspired to carry out future youth projects in their organisations through study visits in the field and by visiting actual activities
to give basic training in international project management (planning, implementation and evaluation) in particular within the frame of the Erasmus+ (youth chapter) Programme
to encourage partnership-building between the participating organizations
to identify the added value for international projects with Roma youth

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

1 representative from the Slovenian National Agency were present – Elizabeta Lakosil. The facilitators were Henk Persyn from Belgium/Slovenia and Zsuzsa Juhasz from Hungary and Mojca Galun as assistant( doing a job shadow activity) from Slovenia.

The participants came from Slovenia, Hungary and the Western Balkans region. They all represented organisations with a ROMA background them self ( not organisations working with Roma).

Training methods used & main activities

Outdoor experiential learning helps participants to open up, to experiment freely and to understand their learning process, to guide and lead their personal/group learning with the experiences gained. It helps the group to experience strong group sense with small problem-solving activities and with games for getting to know each other (as a person, as a youth worker) in a deeper way.
Using art as good tool for expression helps participants to express themselves in a creative and effective way, to stay focused and inspired.. Using small ceremonies to frame the days and to strengthen group-sense, creates a very friendly and open atmosphere where participants can share the challenges they might face.
Solution focused coaching helps the facilitation process to stay focused and keep the steps and flow of the agenda. Coaching supports to work in big/small groups with certain topics (good practices sharing, new and innovative approaches, networking) and to facilitate the best output in a light, creative and playful way.

Outcomes of the activity

Participants understood the system of Erasmus +, and formed international working groups in order to apply for the coming deadline with youth exchanges and training courses. Main focus of these activities are Roma integration and exchange of experiences gained in different Roma settlemenst and organizations.
