European Solidarity Corps Programme

The European Solidarity Corps programme is the new European Union initiative which creates opportunities for young people to volunteer or work in projects in their own country or abroad.

The European Solidarity Corps brings together young people in order to build a more inclusive society, supporting vulnerable people and responding to societal challenges. It offers an inspiring and empowering experience for youngsters who want to help, learn and develop personally and professionally.

In the European Solidarity Corps programme, young people aged 18 to 30 years can join a wide range of projects, such as addressing various social issues in communities, assisting in centres for asylum seekers or re-building after natural disasters. The programme supports activities such as: volunteering, traineeships, jobs and solidarity projects.

The European Solidarity Corps has a total funding budget of EUR 375.6 million which is part of the EU budget for the period 2018 - 2020.
