TOY - Trainers Online for Youth
http://trainers.salto-youth.net/MartinFischer/
Game-based learning, gamification, digital youth work and advocacy are my core topics. A gamer that uses his passion as an educational tool is possibly what best describes me.
If you work with youth participation, young people, new media or plain ol' video games and look for training/facilitation I might be just the right person to approach.
Currently member of the Austrian NA's pool of trainers and the SALTO PI think tank on youth participation.
Martin Fischer has 30 references for past work as a trainer.
media educator, free lance trainer/facilitator
I have implemented from the local, to national up to international level, working with grassroots organisations as well as with international platforms and institutions.
Currently I am part of the Pool of Trainers of the Austrian NA and run various projects using videogame as educational tool for young people from disadvantaged backgrounds.
My knowledge comes primarily from practice: 8 years youth-led trainings with JEF Europe, 3 years student council, 6 years of media education, 5 years of internet policy trainings, youth parliaments and a lifetime of anti-facist movements.
I attended several Council of Europe Training Courses as well as a global education TC of the North South Centre. I finished the ToT of SALTO and CoE's Pestalozzi Programme.
I studied philosophy, political science, sociology and media and game education.
