Online vs. Offline Learning: User’s Friendly Experience

The training activity took place
in Vienna, Austria
organised by NO LABEL PROJECT
23rd-28th March 2014

Aims & objectives

- Facilitate and exchange on learning in the online and offline world
- Improve the use of online learning, blended learning, e-learning and gamification amongst participants
- Share the results in a barcamp and exchange with the local media pedagogical community

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

The team was internationally structured with 4 team members from 3 different nationalities. The group consisted of 17 members from 7 different states.

Training methods used & main activities

The training was based strongly on sharing experience in groups and trying out digital tools in the process. The participants were led through diverse discussion formats, such as world cafe, reflection groups and line debates. We gave structured tasks to fulfill with digital tools and created a new gamified non-formal education exercise. The last day of the seminar hosted a barcamp to connect the knowledge of the group with the local community

Outcomes of the activity

Outcome was an information transfer between the seminar participants and external participants in the barcamp.
Additionally information used and learned will be uploaded and structured on the online database of the seminar: nolabelproject.org/elearning/vienna2014/
