Aims & objectives

The European youth IGF Project seeks to bring young people into the Internet Governance debates. It facilitates a youth delegate programme, will produce a booklet and in four training supports the youth delegates to take action in the Internet Governance Forums. This is the third training focussing on Youth Participation.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

The training was set up for our 5 youth delegates from AT, DE, NL, TK.

Training methods used & main activities

The training was building on classic youth participation methods around the participation ladder, exploring local and regional youth participation structures and further analysing the Internet Governance structures along what role youth plays in them. We formulated recommendation on how to improve these structures and exchanged with local activists.

Outcomes of the activity

The recommendations we created have been introduced at the UN Internet Governance Forum in Mexico and will be published in our booklet, which will be downloadable at yigf.digitalyouth.at
