TOY - Trainers Online for Youth
http://trainers.salto-youth.net/RodrigoVilarinho/
I'm an all around trainer with a mixed background and large experience working with children, youngster and adults.
I did the 2007 TOT-TRAINING OF TRAINERS by SALTO.
My science academic studies allows me to be very structured, organized and always searching for the way to improve. At the same time my creative and more "clowny" side of me mix it up to achieve a nice and strange balance.
One of my strengths is on creating a rich and safe learning environment for a group.
Rodrigo Vilarinho has 8 references for past work as a trainer.
Freelance Trainer, project manager and performing artist

My formal education background is very important for my structured approach to training and also very important to my problem solving eye:
08/2010 - 06/2013 UNIVERSITY OF DANCE AND CIRCUS, Stockholm, Sweden

10/1998 – 12/2002 LISBON CIENCE UNIVERSITY (FCUL), Lisboa

As a trainer I would say this is the training course that allowed me to develop further:
2007/2008 ToT – TRAINING OF TRAINERS
Selected by the Portuguese National Agency for the European Union (EU) “Youth in Action” program (1 year)
A completely different education was also very important to me as a person and as a professional. I was trained to be a Taekwondo instructor for several years and it helped me to fully understand the learning process and how to implement some methodologies:

12/2003 2nd Dan Black Belt (2BR)
11/2001 Exam for 1st Dan Black Belt and Instructor

At a national level I started my work in this field in summer camps that focused mainly in inclusion issues:
2001 – 2003 PROJECTO NOVAS DESCOBERTAS (PND), Lagos
Intensive Training Course for Animators PND (Project New Discoveries) in 03/2001, 03/2002 and 04/2003 (7 days each)
Some animation and youth work training courses were also very relevant to be aware of the wider possibilities of this work and its different approaches:
