Rodrigo Vilarinho

About:

I'm an all around trainer with a mixed background and large experience working with children, youngster and adults.
I did the 2007 TOT-TRAINING OF TRAINERS by SALTO.
My science academic studies allows me to be very structured, organized and always searching for the way to improve. At the same time my creative and more "clowny" side of me mix it up to achieve a nice and strange balance.
One of my strengths is on creating a rich and safe learning environment for a group.

Rodrigo Vilarinho has 9 references for past work as a trainer.

Educational pathway

My formal education background is very important for my structured approach to training and also very important to my problem solving eye:

08/2010 - 06/2013 UNIVERSITY OF DANCE AND CIRCUS, Stockholm, Sweden
Dansarautbildningen – Bachelor degree (BA) in Dance in Dans och Cirkushögskolans

10/1998 – 12/2002 LISBON CIENCE UNIVERSITY (FCUL), Lisboa
3rd Year of BIOLOGY – Access grade of 17,3/20

As a trainer I would say these are the training courses that allowed me to develop further:

01/2021 - 06/2021 ERASMUS+, Online
Training of trainers “Design2Learn – Learning Experience Design”, selected to be part of the Learning Experience Design (LXD) pool of trainers (6 months)

2007/2008 ToT – TRAINING OF TRAINERS
Selected by the Portuguese National Agency for the European Union (EU) “Youth in Action” program (1 year)

A completely different education was also very important to me as a person and as a professional. I was trained to be a Taekwondo instructor for several years and it helped me to fully understand the learning process and how to implement some methodologies:

1994 - 2007 WTTU – WORLD TRADITIONAL TAEKWONDO UNION, Lisboa
12/2003 2nd Dan Black Belt (2BR)
11/2001 Exam for 1st Dan Black Belt and Instructor

Here is a short selection of the most relevant Non-formal educational experiences:

At a national level I started my work in this field in summer camps that focused mainly in inclusion issues:

2001 – 2003 PROJECTO NOVAS DESCOBERTAS (PND), Lagos
Intensive Training Course for Animators PND (Project New Discoveries) in 03/2001, 03/2002 and 04/2003 (7 days each)

Some animation and youth work training courses were also very relevant to be aware of the wider possibilities of this work and its different approaches:

06/2007 YOUTH IN ACTION (EU), Berlin, Germany
International Training Course “Tools of Animation for an Active European Citizenship”, organized by Ble Demones and INCA Italia (10 days)

02/2007 YOUTH IN ACTION (EU), Hamar, Norway

05/2003 COUNCIL OF EUROPE, Pénestin, France
