Work experience
I have over a ten year work experience on project management, planning, implementing, evaluating and reporting both national and international projects. I have worked in multiple youth centres in Finland and in Slovenia. I have also worked for the Finnish government as an officer for communication, specialiased to follow the EU directives in accessibility in websites and in social media.
Most recently I have worked with young people in European Solidarity Corps projects, as an on-arrival trainer, work supervisor and a support person. In those ESC projects I usually work with young people with special needs.
Educational pathway
I have graduated from HUMAK University of Applied Sciences as a community educator in 2012. In my studies I have specialized to intercultural work and international project management. During my studies, and ever since I have also been able to attend multiple non-formal training courses about participation, peace education, equality, democracy, outdoor education and environmental education. At work I have come closer to understanding the challenge of participation and I'm especially interested on peace education and participation of those who usually have less possibilities to join the existing decision making methods in our societies.
