TOY - Trainers Online for Youth
http://trainers.salto-youth.net/BraisFernandesAlvarez/
A training is a chance to learn. Our task as educators is to help and encourage every single one to discover the infinite power existing in their chest and soul... in a holistic approach.
In every human there is the potential to understand the entire Universe...
We should not suffer because of short-cuts that the mind creates.
We should be able to enjoy and learn from whoever and whatever we met, since this is the only Truth in every specific moment.
ALEGRIA!!! Magis starts on us!

Brais Fernandes Álvarez has 5 references for past work as a trainer.
Freelance socio-culture animator and historian. I love culture vulgarization, intercultural bridging, all-kind-of-games&arts, mythology, philosophy, theatre and story-telling.
I feel skilled to manage a group of any age, nationality or circumstance, always keeping a participatory and educational approach.
Grown in the youth field, at 18 years old I started as educator on summer camps in a local NGO (with youth organisations, social services, local authorities... then I came into youth exchanges, work camps, intercultural gatherings...) and I keep this habit.
Professionally I moved towards NFE through story-telling, performance, creativity, literature vulgarisation, animation to theatre and search of knowledge through culture and nature.
Regarding youth policy, I use to combine volunteer activity within several local NGOs and professional activity in a pool of educators constituted as company with some mates from our former youth NGO.
That NGO is named Itaca, based on Santiago de Compostela, Galicia, since 1982.
My professional life is linked to the pool of educators Xandobela: www.xandobela.info
I am the first Erasmus student I´ve ever met. It was in Limerick, republic of Ireland, in 1996.
I was also organizer of the first youth exchange I´ve ever heard about. It was Portugal-Galicia in 1995. That was the "Youth for Europe" program, prior to the "Youth" and "Youth in Action" programs and the current Erasmus+. I´ve also had beautiful experiences under Grundtvig program -Life Long Learning on adult education-, as I love community development and intergenerational dialogue.
My degrees are in History and Theatre, by the University of Santiago de Compostela.
I am member of the pool of trainers of YEU (Youth for Exchange and Understanding) since its creation in 2012.
Since this same year, one of my biggest pleasures is to be member of the Joint-program Team of the University of Youth & Development run by the North-South Centre of the Council of Europe.
I´m Toastmaster VPE in my city TM club.
