http://trainers.salto-youth.net/AlenkaOblak/
Curious, explorer of life, team worker, dancer, enthusiast. I enjoy hosting processes and projects that encourage co-creation and mutual learning, embrace the richness of diversity in humankind + seek to support a development of the fullest potential of each person, especially youth.
Alenka Oblak has 4 references for past work as a trainer.
freelance facilitator and trainer, youth worker
I work as freelance facilitator and trainer. Lately I am more and more involved in hosting various events of non-formal learning, active participation and community processes. I cooperate with various people and organisations in Slovenia, Europe and at world level.
Previously I was engaged and cooperated with various NGOs in Slovenia, Europe and in Brazil, with formal education institutions in Slovenia and in Brazil – as employed, contracted, or as volunteer.
My areas of working and exploring:
active participation in all sectors, organisational management, leadership, volunteering (national and international), youth work, global education, social inclusion, graphic facilitation and recording, environmental education, international cooperation, art of hosting, creativity, learning process and support for it, personal development and identity, intercultural settings.
Volunteering at various organisations was probably my biggest platform for learning – on all areas I am active at moment.
I was involved in guiding and scouting as a leader at local, national and international level.
At the same time I cooperated with youngsters with educational difficulties at centre for social work and at Association for Experiential Pedagogics.
After studying I worked with children and youngsters in risk situations (poverty, family and educational difficulties, children on the street, special needs) in Brazil.
Based on these experiences I joined a team and together we were dreaming and implementing project for group international volunteering Pota.
I am still involved in environmental educational project for children and youth. Volunteering had big input on my personal and professional development.
Participated various courses in Slovenia and abroad – graphic facilitation, training of trainers, workshop for facilitators, Art of Hosting ...
Studying social education and social and cultural anthropology opened me new doors of sensibility for various marginalized groups, for various perspectives on how we perceive world and live, how we influence each other and processes of self-development.
