Work experience

Non-formal education

I am involved in trainings for 17 years. Since 2000 I work on local and international level as a free-lance trainer in field of youth work. At the moment I am member of Trainers pool of Council of Europe, Trainers pool for EVS of SALTO-EECA.

Besides training activities I also have a long experience of cooperation with SALTO, “Erasmus plus” as a project coordinator, expert, editor, author of texts. I was a multiplier of “YOUTH in action” programme in Russia, edited and wrote numerous materials for SALTO EECA in Russian and English including broshures, articles for “Youth in 7” magazine and guidebooks.

On a grass-root level I have experience about 17 years in training, project management and NGO management. On an international level - I was working full time for 4 years for UNICEF as a project coordinator in North-West region of Russia. In 2008 I was employed as an internal expert of local support office of European Commission in Saint-Petersburg. In 2010 – as a program manager for the Danish Church Aid. At the moment I cooperate from time to time on a volontarely base with the EU-Russia Civil Society Forum http://eu-russia-csf.org/.


Russian trace

• I am involved in Russian youth NGO sector from 1999 as an NGO director and trainer. I was responsible for implementing around 30 projects. So I have gained the experience of adopting european approaches to the reality of former soviet countries. I know well the current realities of civil society in teh counrt.

I have very good knowledge of Russian state youth policy. For more than 16 years I was giving lectures at Saint-Petersburg State Economic University for the future social workers about Russian youth policy and youth work.
• Being a manager of youth NGO “Youth information centre” I have a long experience of co-operation and partnership with Russian governmental structures (I have run 7 projects financed by the Saint-Petersburg State Administration via Committee on youth policy; for 6 years I was a member of the consultative group of the Committee on youth policy of Saint-Petersburg State Administration, for one year I was a member of the sterring comitee distributing local grants for NGO's).

Since 1999 I work for the Universities developing and implementing courses for the students of social work, youth work and media.

• I am an author of several manuals in Russian for youth workers related to non-formal education, intercultural learning and participation. In total I have more than 100 publications including papers in scientific magazines and abstracts of conferences, 3 educational manuals on youth work (one recommended by the Ministry of education of Russian Federation), 4 manuals for social work students, four books.

Educational pathway

As a trainer I grow up thanks to the trainings of Concil of Europe, SALTO-EECA and other international stakeholders. Some of them were mainly around non-formal education (how to do it on a good professional level) and others were mainly related to certain topics (for ex. gender issues in youth work).
