Educator, Consultant and Expert in the field of Youth.
Work experience
I am involved in the youth work since 2005 working on community and youth development in rural areas of Armenia. I am working in the youth field at local, national and international level mainly focusing on young people with fewer opportunities and rural youth empowerment.
I have worked at/with several international organizations such as Academy of Educational Development (AED), Counterpart International, US. Peace Corps, Birthright Armenia etc.
I closely work with the Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs as a trainer, a coach and an expert.
I am conducting trainings on rural youth empowerment, youth participation, social inclusion, youth employability, rural development, project design and management, effective communication, making contacts, intercultural communication, leadership, experiential learning, self-assessment, self-development.
I have been member of the Advisory Council and Programming Committee on Youth of the Council of Europe in 2020-2021 involved in the following portfolios: Young People in Rural communities, Shrinking Space of Civil Society, Human rights education and democratic citizenship. Currently, I am a member of the Council of Europe's trainers' pool.
Educational pathway
I have studied at Yerevan State University (YSU) in the faculty of International Relations with a major in political science (BA degree). I have obtained an MA degree in European Studies, Human rights and democratisation from YSU.
Besides, I have taken part in several training courses throughout the world. Among others, local and international long-term Training of Trainers, including TOTHRE by the CoE.
I have participated in the trainings and seminars of the Youth Department of Council of Europe, and in many training courses in the framework of the Erasmus+ programme. Those training courses have greatly influenced on my personal and professional development and contributed to the productivity of my work as a trainer.
