Work experience

My education and career path has been built around a strong life-long passion for helping people from a wide range of cultures. My interest in the wellbeing of young people across the world was the impetus to work towards a career in youth and community development.

My commitment to an experiential understanding of modern issues affecting marginalised communities led me to volunteer and work with several different community organisations. I have 15 experience practice-based experience working as a specialist practitioner with children and young people and disadvantaged communities. (These include, young refugees and new migrant groups, minority ethnic children, children and young people who have been trafficked and sexually exploited, young people with disabilities).

I have extensive experience of designing and delivering a range of programmes, both universal and targeted, promoting the wellbeing of children and community groups. I have led on projects ranging from small, grass-roots organisations to leading national children’s charities in the UK, to World Vision International, the largest children’s charity in the world.

I have around 10 years experience delivering training and workshops to a wide range of audiences on the topics mentioned above.
