Date and Venue
The Short Study Visit on "Youth Work in Ukraine" took place between 21st-28th June 2004 in Western and Eastern Ukraine (Kiev, Poltava, Lviv, Drohobych)
Participants
Contact Making Seminar brought together 17 youth leaders, youth workers, project coordinators. We have decided to select:
Applicants from Programme countries fulfilled following criteria:
- Was representative of the youth organisation or organisation working with young people, who was able and authorize on behalf of its organisation to create future projects ideas
- Had basic knowledge about YOUTH Programme on decentralised level (experience in projects with Third countries is very welcome)
- Had experience from minimum 1 multilateral YOUTH project (other non-formal education experience will be additional advantage)
- Was prepared to participate in follow-up or evaluation activities organised by the National Agency or SALTO-YOUTH network
- Was prepared to actively attend and contribute during the full duration of the SSV
Applicants from Eastern Europe and Caucasus countries fulfilled following criteria:
- Had basic knowledge about YOUTH Programme,
- Had non-formal education background (participants representing companies are not allowed to participate)
- Priority was youth NGOs.
- Were prepared to participate in follow-up or evaluation activities organised by SALTO-YOUTH network
- Were prepared to actively attend and contribute during the full duration of the SSV
Working language of the Short Study Visit was English
Programme elements
- Presentation of participants and organisations
- Presentation of the YOUTH Programme with special focus on "Third countries co-operation"
- Site visits to different youth organisation -travelling!
- Presentation of the youth work reality in the Eastern countries
- Project Market - time for planning common, future projects
Financial conditions of attendance in the SSV "Youth work in Russia" SALTO-YOUTH EECA RC provided board and lodging for all participants. Participants received reimbursement of travel costs from their National Agency.
