Interactive Evaluation Methods

During a training activity you might want to check what the feelings or views of participants are at a particular stage of the programme. Or you might want to evaluate a certain session.

In this case individual questionnaires or interviews with participants are too time-consuming.  Shorter methods, which also include other elements than just verbal expression, are then preferable.  These methods do not only inform the trainers about the views and feelings from the participants but also create the possibility for particiapnts to learn about how others experience the programme.  Visual evaluation methods give a clear view to the whole group about how other participants value a certain part of the course.  Group evaluations might have as a disadvantage that participants influence each other's views.  THerefore it is important that the individuals in those methods first have the possibility  to express for themselves their own personal view.  For participants, sharing their views about the programme with others can help them to construct their own perception of the programme and their learning.

Here you will find some evaluation methods that can be used as an interim evaluation, as a way to evaluate a session or as an added evaluation activity at the end of the training as a completion to questionnaires or interviews.
