Rota Marite Strazda has 3 references for past work as a trainer.
Entrepreneur; Freelance Community Building and Mindfulness trainer
As a dedicated trainer and project leader deeply committed to elevating global awareness (hello Pisces!), I bring a structured, results-oriented approach to all of my work, which centers on fostering growth, connection, and trust through unique Community Building methodologies and mindfulness practices. More than 1500 learners have placed their trust in me to guide them with clarity and insight, drawing from my extensive experience and deep understanding of group dynamics.
Currently, as the founder and Chairwoman of Mindful Journeys, a non-profit organization, I lead multi-day educational programs crafted to create deeply supportive and harmonious environments. My approach combines strategic facilitation, adaptable activities, and thoughtfully curated settings to help participants experience the power of connection, leaving them with profound personal insights and a renewed sense of unity and belonging. I offer structure, 10 years of experience in the NFE field, and accountability—ensuring each event is both impactful and efficiently managed.
In previous roles, such as a board member and project manager at the NGO Adventure Spirit, I led extensive team-building and outdoor adventure programs for diverse audiences, including students and corporate teams. Notably, I orchestrated complex events such as the annual 100km trek, where I coordinated logistics for nearly 200 participants. Over the years, I have developed a wealth of knowledge, supported countless participants, and refined my ability to work with both large and small teams, often managing multiple events simultaneously to create environments that feel inclusive and inspiring.
My ongoing development in mindfulness and community-building facilitation includes working toward certifications in Mindfulness and Meditation with the Greater Good Science Center and Community Building International. I strive to ensure my methods remain innovative and effective, helping participants achieve an extraordinary level of connection, belonging and respect with themselves, their peers, and the wider world.
Looking ahead, I am devoted to expanding my training specialties to reach broader audiences with customized workshops and programs that emphasize emotional intelligence, Community Building, mindfulness, and collaborative growth. I bring the structure, experience, and sense of responsibility needed to create positive, transformative environments.
''Rota has the superpower to create a safe - healing environment where people can feel included, respected, appreciated, relaxed, understood, share their emotions, either "good" or "bad", listen and be heard, be vulnerable, be spontaneous, forget about overthinking, enjoy themselves and others company.''
// participant testimonial
My goal is to cultivate transformative experiences that empower individuals and teams to find deeper connection and purpose, creating a lasting impact that resonates far beyond the training room!
My journey as a trainer and facilitator has been strongly shaped by both formal and non-formal education experiences that have deepened my understanding of human connection and mindfulness. Currently, I am training with Community Building International to become a certified facilitator in Community Building. This method has been transformative for me, teaching the power of creating safe and respectful spaces that allow people to open up and connect on profound levels. It’s a practice that compresses time and cultivates a sense of shared humanity, which I consider essential in all my training work.
In parallel, I’m pursuing a Mindfulness & Meditation Teacher Training certification with the Greater Good Science Center at UC Berkeley. This training has been invaluable, providing not only structured techniques but also the science behind mindfulness and its impacts on well-being. I’m integrating these skills into my work to help participants build resilience and emotional intelligence, tools that I find essential for personal growth and effective team collaboration.
Additionally, my previous roles, including my time with Adventure Spirit and the founding of Mindful Journeys, have allowed me to explore non-formal educational techniques in practice. Leading outdoor group experiences and designing multi-day programs for diverse audiences gave me a hands-on understanding of team dynamics, adaptability, and creating an inclusive environment. These experiences have been crucial in shaping my approach to facilitation, as they taught me the value of balancing structure with flexibility to meet each participant where they are.
Through both structured education and immersive experiences, I have refined a skill set that allows me to deliver impactful and authentic training sessions that resonate deeply with participants and leave a lasting positive impact.
