YOUR-AI Online Training Course for Young Artists and Youth Wokers - AI in Creative Practice
An online training course that introduces young artists, especially those with fewer opportunities, to the use of Artificial Intelligence in creative practice, developed within the Erasmus+ Cooperation Partnership YOUR-AI.
Aims of the tool
The course aims to empower young artists to understand and use AI tools (such as text-to-image and generative AI) in their creative practice, strengthening critical thinking about the opportunities and risks of AI in art, and preparing them for an evolving creative job market.
Description of the tool
This online course was developed within the Erasmus+ KA220-YOU Cooperation Partnership YOUR-AI (2024-1-IT03-KA220-YOU-000255859, 2024-2026), which brought together six partner organisations from Italy, Austria, the Netherlands and Poland.
The course is available in 4 languages (English, Italian, German, Polish) and combines video lessons, practical exercises on generative AI tools and guided reflection activities.
By the end of the course, learners are able to:
Young artists: understand the fundamental concepts of Artificial Intelligence and how they apply to artistic creation; use text-to-image and generative AI tools (such as Midjourney, ChatGPT, DALL-E) in their own creative practice; critically evaluate the opportunities and risks of using AI in art, including questions of originality, authorship and copyright; and connect with peers and mentors from other European countries, strengthening their artistic network and professional outlook.
Youth workers: understand how AI tools can be introduced and used responsibly in creative youth work; facilitate and mentor young artists in their use of AI, including as a trained AI coach; and support young people, especially those with fewer opportunities, in navigating the ethical and practical challenges of AI in the creative field.
