Ice-breaker
A workshop on non-verbal communication and relationship, trust-building activity
develop better understanding between people; improve the ability to spend quality time with each other without gadgets and additional tools
Flow:
• Divide participants into random pairs
• Give each person a paper and a pen
• Ask the pairs not to talk and to touch each other
• Ask one person in the pair first to be observer and just to watch the second one (they can smile, look into the eyes etc.). After the observation the first person is supposed to make a picture (not compulsory a portrait, but a picture of any visions after watching the second person; also some words or phrases can be added to the picture/s).
• Ask the second person to do the same, exchanging the roles in the pairs.
• Still without any comments and conversations, let the people in the pairs exchange the papers, so they can see themselves with other eyes.
Invite everybody to the common reflection.
• Ask how people felt observing each other without talking. Why?
• Was there any difference for them to watch or to be watched?
• What did they learn from this excercise?
