Volunteerism and social inclusion

Aims of the tool

• To promote young people's social inclusion and stimulate their active participation in democratic life;

• To transfer the knowledge and know-how obtained in the duration of the project into a universal practice of volunteers management, available and open for use;

• To support the professional development of staff and youth workers in managing volunteers, involving young people with a disadvantaged background, and enhancing cooperation among project partners.

Description of the tool

The participants acquired competences on EVS programme-history, funding, key action-EVS actors (sending/hosting/coordinating organisation/ mentor/ volunteer). Moreover, the participants discussed about the soft and hard skills that could be acquired during the mobility experience.
