VOICE - PhotoVoice: Participation & Empowerment in Youth Work
The VOICE project explored the photovoice method, a participatory research method combining a creative and accessible tool, photography, with a ready-to-use step-by-step ready-to-use step-by-step process backed by robust theory.
Aims of the tool
The VOICE project focused on using the innovative and creative approach of Photovoice to empower youth workers, future youth workers and young people around Europe.
VOICE produced a toolbox to adapt photovoice to the international youth work context and make this powerful method as easy to handle for newcomers as possible.
Description of the tool
The VOICE toolbox compiles ready-made material to understand the potential of this method and to make it easy to start using it yourselves:
- Photovoicevideo-tutorial: Learn the basic steps to apply the photovoice method, as explained by our social and youth work professionals!
- Photovoice exhibitions: Check the photovoice exhibition with our activities results!
- Photovoice training resources: Learn more about the method and how to apply it, with our guide and additional ready-to-use training material!
- Photovoice policy brief: Check our recommendations for education and training institutions, youth and social field organizations and practitioners and policy-makers
