A practical set of free AI learning tools helping young people and educators build AI skills, explore ethical challenges and develop responsible, critical and creative approaches to using artificial intelligence.

Aims of the tool

The VALUES tools aim to:
• develop young people's AI competences and help them use artificial intelligence responsibly and creatively;
• strengthen young people's employability and commitment to European values;
• empower youth workers, educators and youth-serving organisations to address AI-related topics;
• provide innovative teaching methods and practical resources for ethical AI education;
• support inclusive, multicultural and democratic learning environments.

Description of the tool

The VALUES project provides a set of complementary learning tools supporting young people, youth workers, educators and youth-serving organisations in developing AI competences and understanding the ethical, social and personal implications of artificial intelligence.

The tools include:

1. VALUES Ethical AI Starter Kit

A collection of educational and practical resources for introducing AI and its ethical implications in work with young people. It includes:
• Ethical AI Fundamentals Guide;
• Practical Applications of AI Guide, covering lesson planning, creativity, inclusion and ethical AI use;
• case studies.

2. VALUES AI Skills Self-Assessment Platform
An interactive tool enabling young people, educators and youth-oriented organisations to assess their AI knowledge and awareness, reflect on ethical, social and personal implications, identify areas for development and access relevant educational materials.

3. VALUES Open Educational Resources
A collection of eight workshop modules addressing key ethical dimensions of AI, including bias, transparency, privacy, legal rights and disinformation. The modules provide structured content and practical resources for educational activities.
The tools are available online in English, Polish and German.
