Manual
The Training Curriculum provides guidelines and activities on sustainable development education with young people and is intended for youth workers and youth NGOs working with young people with fewer opportunities and underpriviledged communities.
This publication aims to equip youth workers and youth organisations with skills, inspirations and guidelines on promoting sustainable development education among young people with fewer opportunities, and help them in learning about 17 SDGs.
The Training Curriculum was developed within KA220 project Empower SDGs and it contains 7 chapters:
1. Introduction (background and rationale)
2. UN Agenda 2030 and 17 SDGs (background information on sustainable development)
3. Connections between sustainable development and non-formal education
4. Active participation of young people with fewer opportunities
5. Set of youth activities to implement
6. Checklist on inclusivity, accessibility and sustainability for youth activities
7. Conclusions and recommendations.
Therefore, the Training Curriculum gives a theoretical background exploring relevant concepts and groups, and provides practical parts with educational activities and a checklist to ensure accessible and inclusive events that enable full participation of young people with fewer opportunities.
