Aims of the tool

Through this “Toolkit on working with young LGBTQ+ people” we propose a series of non-formal methods, instruments and insights that can help youth workers, practitioners in human rights education and organisations to better approach the needs of the LGBTQ+ youth in Eastern Europe.

Description of the tool

Reading this "Toolkit on working with young LGBTQ+ youth" will offer you a better understanding of the particularities of young LGBTQ+ people, the social context and the difficulties which the LGBTQ+ youth are facing within the countries and the organizations from Eastern Europe: Croatia, Hungary, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia.

In the section Advocacy and Awareness Campaigns you will find ready-to-use templates that just need to be filled in with specific information related to your organisation / youth initiative group.

Last but not least, get your inspiration from the section Advocating for LGBTQ+ equality and find out how youth activist from Romania and Slovenia organised the first Cluj Pride (2017) and Maribor Pride (2019). Don’t forget to take action! #PrideIsAProtest!
