Free CC BY 4.0 toolkit from an Erasmus+ youth exchange: a 7-day programme and 10 ready-to-run workshops on misinformation, media bias, algorithms, fact-checking and respectful online debate, with Youthpass tools.

Aims of the tool

- Strengthen young people's ability to critically analyse online information and recognise misinformation, deepfakes, clickbait and media bias.
- Give young people practical tools to verify sources, images and videos.
- Build awareness of how algorithms, filter bubbles and targeted advertising shape what we see online.
- Promote respectful, constructive online debate and the prevention of cyberbullying and hate speech.
- Equip youth workers and trainers with tested non-formal methods they can run in their own groups.

Description of the tool

THINK DIGITAL is an open toolkit created from the Erasmus+ Youth Exchange of the same name, held in Ružomberok (Slovakia) in July 2026 with young people from Slovakia, Italy, Spain, Czechia, Poland and Armenia. It turns the exchange into a resource any youth worker, trainer or teacher can reuse.

What is inside:
- A replicable 7-day programme moving from digital footprints and media bias to algorithms and echo chambers, digital ethics and debate, fact-checking and synthetic media, and finally youth-led campaign design with a public showcase.
- Ten workshop blueprints with step-by-step facilitation guidance, timing and debriefing, including: Digital Footprint Audit, Deconstructing Headlines, The Algorithm Game, Bubble Breaker Workshop, Digital Debate Arena, Hate Speech & Polarization Clinic, Spot-the-Fake Toolbox, Deepfake & Synthetic Media Clinic, Digital Campaign Ideation & Content Sprint, and Peer Review Carousel & Local Action Planning.
- Guidance on Youthpass, daily reflection and recognition of learning, and ideas for local follow-up.

Learning outcomes: participants learn how misinformation and bias spread; how recommendation algorithms and data collection work; how to verify information by cross-referencing sources, reverse image search, video frame and metadata checks and fact-checking tools; how to turn heated online exchanges into constructive dialogue; and how to design and present an awareness campaign. They also strengthen teamwork, intercultural communication and confidence to speak up.
