Aims of the tool

The presentation aims to:
- Raise awareness of the barriers preventing young changemakers from transforming early ideas into sustainable impact ventures.
- Highlight the need for more continuous, inclusive, and collaborative support ecosystems.
- Showcase how pre-incubation programmes can help young people validate ideas, build ventures, and prepare for successful launch.
- Inspire youth organisations, educators, incubators, funders, and policymakers to strengthen pathways towards youth-led impact entrepreneurship.

Description of the tool

The Missing Bridge to Impact is a presentation developed within the Erasmus+ #YCM Challenge project to explore the journey of young changemakers from early ideas to sustainable impact ventures.

Drawing on research, ecosystem insights, and practical experience from the #YCM Challenge, the presentation examines the main barriers faced by young people – including limited access to skills, mentorship, funding, networks, and long-term support – and argues for a more connected and inclusive ecosystem for youth-led impact entrepreneurship.

The presentation also features case studies of pre-incubated ventures from the 2026 edition of the #YCM Challenge, demonstrating how structured support, mentoring, and early-stage funding can help young changemakers validate their ideas, develop MVPs, strengthen business models, and move closer to successful venture launch.

Learning outcomes
