Aims of the tool

This tool is an online module designed to support youth workers in their career sessions delivered to young people.

We will cover some basic elements from the following subjects:
• Self-knowledge, tools for self-discovery;
• Inventory of skills, interests, values, models used;
• Exploring occupations, sources, tools;
• Planning your studies;
• Tools used in making a career decision, career planning;
• Looking for a job;
• Personal branding;
• Preparing applications, CVs, motivation letters, portfolio etc;
• Perspectives of employers/employees on the development of young people’s careers;
• Challenges and difficulties in the interviewing/applying for a job process etc.

Participants:
This module can be explored by young people to support their decision regarding their studies, careers and future jobs. Youth workers can also use this basic module, or a part of it, in their work with young people. For the same support reason, the platform offers other tools (The SIMULATION BOX OF JOBS) and two online training courses (The youth worker online course, The learning to learn course). The module is open for participants from Programme and Partner countries of E+.


Topics
We will cover some basic elements from the following subjects:
• Self-knowledge, tools for self-discovery;

• Planning your studies;
• Tools used in making a career decision, career planning;
• Looking for a job;
• Personal branding;
• Preparing applications, CVs, motivation letters, portfolio etc;
• Perspectives of employers/employees on the development of young people’s careers;
• Challenges and difficulties in the interviewing/applying for a job process etc.


Learning tools:
E-book, reflection themes, sharing practices, quizzes etc.


Time:
You will need between 1 hour to 20 hours to explore the content of the module depending on your study pace and on what areas you want to discover.

Price: our module is free of charge for the participants, thanks to the funds from Erasmus+ programme and the efforts made by the team of the project.


Languages: The module is available in English and in Romanian.


Follow up
After exploring the module:
- you can join THE LEARNING TO LEARN HANSE – a proposed virtual sharing space;
- you can join THE YOUTH WORKER HANSE – a proposed virtual space for a community of youth workers in Europe;
