The “Talk? Talk!” Toolkit offers theatre-based and non-formal education methods to strengthen communication skills in youth work through interactive activities on listening, teamwork, creativity, and intercultural dialogue.

Aims of the tool

The aim of this toolkit is to support youth workers, educators, trainers, and facilitators in developing communication competences and creating more inclusive, interactive, and emotionally safe learning environments through theatre and experiential learning methods.

Description of the tool

The “Talk? Talk!” Toolkit was created as a result of the Erasmus+ training course “Talk? Talk!” held in Granada, Spain. The toolkit contains practical activities, theatre exercises, icebreakers, energizers, reflection methods, and group dynamics tested during the mobility with participants from different cultural backgrounds.

The activities focus on:
-verbal and non-verbal communication
-active listening and empathy
-teamwork and group cohesion
-creativity and self-expression
-confidence-building and public speaking
-intercultural learning and inclusion

The methods are designed to be easily adaptable to different youth work, educational, and non-formal learning contexts, especially when working with multicultural groups and young people with diverse needs.
