This booklet is the intellectual output of the Training Course Stand Up 4 Their Rights of Heimat Foundation, that took place in Ommen, the Netherlands between 8th -13th of February 2019.

Aims of the tool

"Stand Up 4 Their Rights - A paper training on Supporting Integration of newcomers through Interactive Theater methods" is aiming at offering basic information regarding interactive theater methods as a tool for constructive inclusion of young newcomers (migrants and refugees) and to inspire its readers to use theater as a tool for social change.

Description of the tool

“Stand Up 4 Their Rights – A paper training” is an educational booklet that came out of the training Stand Up 4 Their Rights as an educational output aiming at promoting the input and information that were offered during this training. This booklet is serving as a teaser of what was offered during this training.
- Theoretical background
- Practical tools and methods
- Participants workshops
- And a sense of the training’s spirit

Parts of the booklet are:
1. Intro – basic information about the training and the organizations involved
2. Social Issue – information about the current situation of migrants and refugees in Europe nowadays, as well as basic information about interactive theater and the methods presented by the training
3. Participants workshops – input from the participants with methods on how to handle this social issue
4. Other methods & Games – input from other methods & games that were used during the training supporting the training purposes indirectly
5. Performance – showcasing the work done and the learning of the participants
6. Closing words – an epilogue
