The ENVISIO Self‑Assessment Tools support young green entrepreneurs in reflecting on their business ideas, evaluating their sustainability practices, and strengthening their readiness to develop, fund, and promote environmentally responsible ventures.

Aims of the tool

The ENVISIO Self‑Assessment Tools aim to empower participants—particularly young and deaf entrepreneurs using the ENVISIO Digital Hub—by offering structured and accessible pathways to develop their green business ideas. While designed with inclusivity in mind, the tools and online training programmes of the hub, can support any young person in understanding their current level of preparedness in sustainable entrepreneurship and reflecting on their evolving competencies. They guide online learners in identifying their strengths, gaps, and opportunities for growth, enabling them to make informed decisions as they refine and advance their ideas.

Through hands‑on, practical exercises, the tools help users apply sustainability principles to real entrepreneurial concepts, strengthening their ability to design ventures that are environmentally responsible and socially meaningful. They also build confidence in essential areas such as planning, funding, marketing, and communication—skills that help users articulate their ideas clearly, professionally, and with purpose.

Finally, the tools provide a balance of independent learning and mentor‑supported development. Users can work at their own pace while also receiving targeted feedback, ensuring an inclusive, supportive learning experience that aligns with the goals of the ENVISIO project.

Description of the tool

The ENVISIO Self‑Assessment Tools form a structured learning pathway that supports young and deaf entrepreneurs as they develop sustainable business ideas. Each tool is designed to guide users through a specific stage of the green entrepreneurship journey—from identifying a problem and shaping an idea, to designing a sustainable business model, planning marketing strategies, preparing for funding, and mapping a responsible supply chain.

The tools combine reflection, guided exercises, and practical templates to help users apply what they learn directly to their own entrepreneurial concepts. They encourage active learning by prompting users to analyse their choices, explore sustainability strategies, and make informed decisions. The tools can be used independently or with mentor support, allowing learners to progress at their own pace while receiving personalised feedback when needed.

Together, the tools create a coherent learning experience that strengthens entrepreneurial thinking, builds sustainability awareness, and supports the development of real, actionable green business ideas.
