A collection of good practices from Croatia and Poland, developed through the Erasmus+ Digital Communication Makeover powered by GenZ. The publication shares tools, experiences and lessons for stronger digital youth participation.

Aims of the tool

To promote meaningful digital youth participation in local decision-making.
To strengthen communication between young people and decision-makers.
To share practical digital tools, methods and good practices.
To inspire local authorities and youth organisations to develop more inclusive, youth-friendly communication.
To support the transfer and long-term sustainability of the project's results.

Description of the tool

The Digital Communication Makeover powered by GenZ Digital Publication is a practical learning resource presenting good practices, methods, experiences and lessons learned from the Erasmus+ project implemented in Croatia and Poland.

The publication explores how young people, Digital Ambassadors, civil society organisations and local decision-makers can work together to improve communication through digital tools and social media. It includes examples of local communication makeovers, practical recommendations, digital tools, project methodology and approaches that can be adapted by other organisations and local communities.

Learning outcomes:
Participants will understand the importance of meaningful youth participation in local decision-making. They will gain knowledge of youth-friendly digital communication approaches. They will learn how to use social media as a tool for civic participation and dialogue. They will become familiar with practical methods for involving young people in communication with local authorities. They will develop ideas for digital campaigns, podcasts, short-form video content and interactive activities. They will be able to identify and transfer good practices to their own local communities. They will strengthen their digital, communication, teamwork and civic competences.
