An Erasmus+ training package consisting of eight interactive modules that equip youth workers, educators and trainers with knowledge, skills and practical tools to support LGBTQIA+ youth inclusion, mental well-being and safe environments.
•To strengthen the capacity of youth workers, educators and trainers to support LGBTQIA+ youth effectively.
•To promote inclusive communication and anti-bias practices.
•To improve understanding of LGBTQIA+ identities, rights and lived experiences.
•To enhance participants’ ability to identify and address discrimination and non-acceptance.
•To develop competence in supporting LGBTQIA+ youth mental health and resilience.
•To create safer, more inclusive educational, workplace and community environments.
•To provide practical and trauma-informed tools for youth work practice.
The Proud Ambassadors Training Package is a comprehensive educational resource developed within the Erasmus+ project Proud Ambassadors. It combines theory, non-formal education methodologies, experiential learning, reflection exercises, role-plays, quizzes and practical tools to support professionals working with young people.
The package consists of eight interconnected learning modules:
1.Understanding LGBTQIA+ Identities and Terminology
2. Identifying and Supporting Experiences of Non-Acceptance in LGBTQIA+ Youth
3. Mental Health Assessment and Resilience-Building Techniques
4. Inclusive Communication and Anti-Bias Language Skills
5. Creating Inclusive and LGBTQIA+ Friendly Workplaces
6. Legal Frameworks and Rights of LGBTQIA+ Youth
7. Creating Safe and Inclusive Spaces for LGBTQIA+ Youth
8. Practical Tools and Innovative Training Techniques for Supporting LGBTQIA+ Youth.
The methodology combines learner-centred education, active participation, reflection, experiential learning, case studies, role-play, peer learning and action planning. It enables participants to transform theoretical knowledge into practical competences directly applicable in youth work, education and community settings.
