Proud Ambassadors Policy Brief: Supporting LGBTQIA+ Youth Mental Well-being and Inclusion
A participatory learning resource that engages youth workers, educators, policymakers and stakeholders in analyzing good practices, identifying policy gaps and developing solutions to promote LGBTQIA+ youth inclusion and mental well-being across Europe.
Aims of the tool
To increase awareness of the challenges affecting LGBTQIA+ youth, particularly regarding mental health, discrimination and social inclusion.
•To explore and analyse good practices from different European countries.
•To strengthen participants’ capacity to develop inclusive policies and services.
•To encourage dialogue between youth workers, educators, policymakers and civil society actors.
•To promote evidence-based recommendations supporting LGBTQIA+ youth rights and well-being.
Description of the tool
The Proud Ambassadors Policy Brief is a resource designed to help the general public and especially policymakers understand the realities faced by LGBTQIA+ youth and explore practical responses at community, institutional and policy levels.
The resource is based on findings gathered through research, stakeholder consultations, digital inception meetings and focus groups conducted in Belgium, Greece, Italy, Slovenia and Sweden within the Proud Ambassadors project.
