PROTECT Toolkit Practical privacy, data protection, and digital safety guidance for youth workers and youth organisations
Toolkit for NGOs, CSOs and youth-led organizations who are active in the Erasmus+ in the youth sector with training materials for compliance with privacy EU law, as well as targeted assistance with guidelines, tools, templates, etc.
Aims of the tool
1. to facilitate the implementation of GDPR obligations by NGOs and especially non-profit organizations
2. to empower youth workers and educators to get educated regarding their protection of privacy.
3. to raise awareness about the GDPR among the general public, especially young people.
Description of the tool
The Toolkit includes the following chapters:
• Collection of good practices and Collection of other resources including publications, analysis.
• Preparation of the guide for young people with a special focus on the protection of personal data online
• Preparation of the guide for NGOs, youth workers, and trainers
• Creation of personalized templates addressing the needs and challenges of the most common activities implemented
under Erasmus in youth education.
• Manual for youth workers and trainers on how to train young people on data protection and privacy principles as part of
digital resilience and safety.
