Prevention of Teen Dating Violence (Handbook with tools)
Young people are in high risk of Teen Dating Violence (TDV). This handbook aims to introduce this problematic to youth workers, present basis of intervention with victims of TDV and equip youth workers with concrete tools for prevention.
Aims of the tool
1. Introduce problematic of Teen Dating Violence (TDV) to youth workers, teachers and other stakeholders;
2. Equip them with tools for prevention of TDV, work with survivors and link them with other resources and information about TDV.
Description of the tool
Teen Dating Violence (TDV) is a complex and widespread phenomenon that manifests itself in different types of behaviours such as physical violence, psychological violence, sexual violence, digital violence and stalking. However, on EU and national levels, the problem of TDV is often invisible in the areas of public policy, legislation and education system. Furthermore, there is still no systematic approach to the TDV prevention.
The handbook is made as a result of the international training course within the project “Love and Respect - Preventing Teen Dating Violence” (KA1- Mobility of Youth Workers). Training took place in February 2017 in Tbilisi/Georgia and brought together 18 youth workers from 4 countries (Armenia, Croatia, Czech Republic and Georgia).
