Online Self-Assessments are two assessment tools for ESC mentors and ESC organisations. The assessments allow mentors to evaluate their mentoring practice, while organisations can evaluate their mentoring support system.

Aims of the tool

Mentoring Assessment Tools help to raise the quality of mentoring. They are:
- designed to support mentoring practitioners and organisations in the European Solidarity Corps in reflecting on, strengthening and further developing their mentoring practice and mentoring support.
- built on the Mentoring Competence Framework and offer structured ways to explore mentoring practices and competences, support systems and ethical foundations of mentoring.
- encourage critical reflection and continuous learning.

Mentoring Assessment Tools can be used in different contexts, depending on your role and needs:
- For trainers and facilitators (both internal and external): If you are designing and facilitating a learning process (in a workshop, training course, or a strategic planning meeting) you might want to use the facilitated assessment tools for mentors or organisations. They provide a guided, participatory approach to explore mentoring practices and organisational realities in depth.
- For mentors and organisations: If you are carrying out mentoring as a mentor or organising mentoring support within your ESC projects, the online self-assessment tools offer an accessible and flexible way to analyse strengths, identify areas for improvement, and plan further development.

Assessing mentoring practices leads towards a growth plan of individuals, while assessing mentoring support shows a path for organisational development. Whether used individually or collectively, these tools aim to raise the quality of mentoring by turning reflection into action—supporting both personal growth and organisational development.
