LINKS online platform and training material on Digital Sovereignty Competencies is a tool to enable youth workers to develop the necessary skills to increase their level of digital sovereignty as well as to be able to train young people within their work.

Aims of the tool

-Directly and actively support youth workers to develop and enhance their digital sovereignty and digital security skills and competences, to be passed on to young people

-Protect against misuse and/or cyber-attacks on a societal level, digital data of organizations, NGOs and various groups that are supported by these organizations (migrants, refugees, unemployed youth, etc.) through the increased digital sovereignty of youth workers.

Description of the tool

This online platform provides youth workers with a package of digital learning resources designed around the concept of micro-learning: short and coherent "digital nuggets"— bite-sized, easily digestible pieces of information strategically designed to convey key concepts and best practices in online data protection, delivered in multimedia formats aiming to promote blended learning methodologies. The digital learning nuggets include a variety of resources such as quizzes, podcasts, e-learning videos, interactive case studies, and infographic resources.
It is also provided in the online platform, a user manual tailored specifically to the needs of youth workers, explaining how the training material on the platform could be utilized within examples of lesson plans, in their work with young people.

The platform and all the training materials in it, is translated and available in eight languages: English, Danish, Italian, Greek, Spanish, Estonian, Greek and Slovenian.
