Learning modules for youth workers in the field of young NEETs

Aims of the tool

These four modules aims to provide youth workers with more specialized knowledge and competences for working with NEET youth.
The four modules cover important topics on how to increase participation of NEETs into the labour market and in education through up-skilling youth workers in effective engagement methodologies.

Description of the tool

The modules will provide youth workers working with young NEETs, the necessary knowledge to be able once completed all the modules to understand the different NEET realities and to reduce the numbers of young people at risk and in NEET situation by creating better opportunities for them.

The modules will develop cognitive skills on participants, which involve applying methods in new situations to solve problems (thinking skills). Following:

Module 1: Who are the NEETs? Factors contributing to being NEET

Module 2: Methods for identifying and activating young people in NEET situations. Digital tools to engage/reach out NEET

Module 3: How to limit the negative effects of the economic and COVID-19 crisis on NEET?

Module 4: National/European policies and strategies addressing the involvement of NEETs in the society
