Get to know each other

Description of the tool

* Place the participants in two parallel lanes. The persons in each lane stand in alphabetical order of their first name (in an opposite order for each lane). Each person goes with the person who is standing opposite to him to form a pair. Each person then reproduces the outline of his partner’s palm on an A4 page. Each person interviews his partner (10 min per person) and writes the answers in the outline of his partner’s hand.
Some suggestions for questions:
Personal info (name, age, address, nationality, place of residence, education, work, occupation…. Organization, main activities…Suggestions, wishes or any other issue.
Each person introduces his/her partner (1 min each). The papers are hung on the wall.
It is important to think about the subjects you choose(adapt to context and group).
Variation: Prepare some questions the participants have to answer on their papers. The trainer then reads the questions and everybody with the same answer has to group and exchange. At the end of the question session, participants can try to identify the person who has most in common with them.
