'Internet of Things for everyone' workshop scenario
The tool contains 5 scenarios of workshops on programming and working with electronic components. It is based on the Internet of
Things idea. Participants learn how to build and program a smart plant that informs the owner if it needs watering.
Aims of the tool
- familiarising with the idea of the Internet of Things
- increasing curiosity of the participants and their creative thinking
- raising a positive attitude towards new technologies
- familiarising with electronic systems and basics of programming
- learning block coding
- preparation to calibration soil moisture sensors in home conditions.
Description of the tool
The tool contains 5 scenarios of workshops on programming and working with electronic components. It is based on the Internet of
Things idea. Participants learn how to build and program a smart plant that informs the owner if it needs watering.
The tool is available in 5 languages: English, French, Italian, Polish and Spanish (the other language version are available on the project website http://fundacjaantares.pl/iot.html). The cycle of workshops aims changing participant's attitude toward new technologies. It was planned to show that programming and Internet of Things are quite easy in the basic concept, as well as useful in our daily life.
