A comparative and practical resource exploring youth and youth-worker well-being, digital well-being and sustainable youth-work practices across Estonia, Germany, Latvia and Norway, with reusable tools and recommendations.

Aims of the tool

The resource aims to help youth workers and youth organisations understand how well-being is shaped by organisational conditions, digital environments, cultural practices and national systems. It supports practitioners in comparing approaches across countries, identifying transferable good practices, reflecting on organisational sustainability and turning evidence into practical improvements in youth work.

Description of the tool

The International Comparative Mapping Report was developed within the Erasmus+ KA153-YOU project "Daily Wellness Challenge Movement". It brings together participant-led national mapping, peer learning and comparative discussions from the international training course, consortium practice knowledge and additional desk research.

The resource examines youth well-being, digital well-being, youth-worker occupational well-being, inclusion, nature and movement, and organisational sustainability across Estonia, Germany, Latvia and Norway.

Rather than presenting a single model of wellness, it identifies shared challenges, national differences and transferable practices and translates them into practical recommendations for youth workers, youth organisations, trainers, municipalities, funders and other stakeholders.

The publication also contains reusable tools, including the WELL framework, an organisational self-assessment, suggested monitoring indicators, a national mapping template, workshop questions and an evidence-quality checklist. These elements allow organisations to use the report not only for learning, but also for team reflection, strategic planning, evaluation and future international projects.
