Description of the tool

The intercultural dancing is a fun energiser that will certainly wake everyone up! Its also a great way promotes intercultural learning.

What you need to do is ask your assistants to find at least one piece of music (it could be anything but ballroom type is a good starter). Ask the group to get into pairs at this stage all they need to know is they are going to do an energiser. Give each pair 2 pieces of A4 paper. Ask them to write their team number so it fits in sequence with the others so that you have a team 1, team 2, team 3 and so on. Using glue tack ask each team to stick their team numbers on each others back. Then ask them to watch you demonstrate with another trainer by begining the music and dancing. At this stage the group will suddenly understand what its going to do and there maybe quite a lot of laughter. Before the group starts dancing use your three assistants as judges for the dance. You need to decide wether this will be a one off or take a competition form. If its a one off just ask your judges to pick one winner or better still if its a competition ask your judges to pick 1 or more loosers dependent on how long you want the competition to last. You could have nock out stages with a quarter final, semi and then final for example. The intercultural learning comes as each dance should be to a different form of music from a different place in the world. Its good to use a use a piece of music from the host country. The loosers can be judges in the nxt round to keep them involved should you choose to do rounds.
