Presentation
“Hanged by Labor” is a powerful artwork created during the “UpCycle Life” youth exchange that raises awareness about exploitation and unsafe working conditions in the fast fashion industry.
- Raise awareness about labor exploitation in the fashion industry.
- Encourage ethical and responsible fashion consumption.
- Promote respect for garment workers and human rights.
- Use art as a tool for social awareness and activism.
During the “UpCycle Life” Erasmus+ youth exchange, participants created the artwork “Hanged by Labor” to highlight the hidden human cost behind fast fashion. The visual installation symbolized how garment workers are often trapped in exploitative systems, unsafe workplaces, and unfair conditions. Messages displayed on the shirts reminded viewers that workers are human beings, not machines, and that safe and fair working conditions are basic human rights.
