This is the introductory chapter of a Handbook that provides tools, tips and good practices on how to implement mobility projects for participants with intellectual disabilities.

Aims of the tool

The aim of the Handbook is to gather tools, tips and good practices to support project staff when implementing inclusive mobilities, specifically for participants with intellectual disabilities.
This Chapter gives an introductory approach on the subject.

Description of the tool

The Chapter 0 of the Handbook gives an introduction to the subject of inclusive mobilities.
To give the basis to continue the rest of the Handbook 'in the same level', this chapter gives information about:
- EU Programmes (for the organisations working with people with disabilities but lacking of information about European Programmes),
- Disability (for the organisations working with projects but not yet involving participants with disabilities.
Furthermore, it gives information about a transversal and important resource when working with people with disabilities: Easy-to-read (ETR) and easy language communication.
It ends with a glossary and a list of projects and good practices to share.
