The impacts of climate change are too much of a burden for the poorest and most vulnerable, especially girls and women with fewer opportunities.

Available in English, Hungarian, Spanish, and Italian.

Aims of the tool

Despite growing recognition of the differential vulnerabilities as well as the unique experiences and skills that women and men bring to environmental sustainability efforts, the former still have less economic, political and legal influence and are therefore less able to cope than those who are most exposed to the adverse effects of climate emergency.

Description of the tool

The materials in this Guide have very broad applicability in these domains. Given the evidence we present on the importance of gender sensitivity and social inclusion in the implementation of effective climate projects and programmes, we assert that the approaches suggested are not just for people with a formal mandate on these issues; the approaches are for everyone working on climate and social justice.
