practice handbook for running a Future Food Lab: 14 tested stations, from a spirulina tasting to a DIY bioreactor, with the rules for assembling them into a session, the hygiene guidance for three countries, and what failed. Low-cost, openly licensed.

Aims of the tool

To turn sustainable food from something young people are told about into something they produce with their own hands — and to make that possible for any youth organisation, without a laboratory, a kitchen or a budget.

Description of the tool

Stations from a tasting to an Arduino bioreactor, plus how to assemble, run and evaluate them. Outcomes map to Youthpass: systems thinking, experimentation, digital skills, communication, initiative — evidenced by what learners made.
