Group Building Activity
Discover the expectations of the participants
Prepare a garden without flowers. Prepare a small basket and extra papers in flower shape in 4 petals and in stone shape. Keep in mind to put them in different colours to see the changes within the training period. Cut papers in flower shape, (4 petals)Cut papers in stone shape Ask everyone to write down their hopes and fears regarding the training on different flower shaped colour papers:· What is your expectation from this TC?Ask them to write their hopes and expectations on the petals and post the flowers on the branches. Tell them that they are free to take away expectations that cannot be realised. Ask them to write fears on the stone shaped paper. Tell them that they are free to take away and add stones. Hopes are put on the branches (like good flowers which grow) and fears are put on the ground (like stones in the garden). At the end of the training, the participants are invited to pick the hopes that were realised and the fears did not happen. The trainers summarise the flowers and stones. The trainers thus get a first short evaluation of whether or not the goals and expectations were reached
