Aims of the tool

Fix Small Art Facilitators Guide

Art Investigations and STEP BY STEPinstructions with suggested adjustments for each workshop from Thematic cards workshop to wood crafting, using old books, newspaper basket weaving and many more.

The purpose of this training guideline is to provide the tools to thetrainer so they can conduct a creative expression art workshops with paper as the main medium specifically to the target group that includes people with different kinds of disabilities and mental challenges.

The project “FixSmallArt” main objective is to examine andmoderate different art methods and techniques supporting socialtolerance practices and adult education for people with learningdisabilities and mental challenges helping their social and personalempowerment and while enhancing the training skills of their teachers.

Description of the tool

The project Fix Small Art main objective is to examine and moderate different art methods and techniques supporting social tolerance practices and adult education for people with learning disabilities and mental illness, helping their social and personal empowerment enhancing the training skills of their teachers.

How do we approach Accessibility ?

Accessibility means that the Learning provider develops knowledge aboutthe conditions for learning among the learners and how it is related to theeducational, social and physical environments of the activity. In thishandbook the trainer of a creative workshop fordisabled persons can getan idea on how to arrange and facilitate a workshop includingpreparations, pedagogic tips, choice of materials and a step by stepinstruction about how to organize the creative workshop.

During the implementation of this project the learners will develop their social and communication skills and will be supported in the informal adulteducation field.
