Activity in small groups to increase the knowledge of the principles and suggestions of the EUROPEAN INCLUSION AND DIVERSITY STRATEGY FOR YOUTH through self learning and the pleasure of discovery.
- to get to know the EUROPEAN INCLUSION AND DIVERSITY STRATEGY FOR YOUTH
- to stimulate cooperation among the participants
PREPARATION:
- create a flipchart paper to stick the aims ofthe strategy, write the tile of the activity on it and stick an image able to represent the meaning of each aim of the strategy.
- print the aims of the strategy, one aim per sheet of paper and cut it in two or three pieces (so that each participant will receive one piece of one aim) - see attachment
- print two copies of three different parts of the EUROPEAN INCLUSION AND DIVERSITY STRATEGY FOR YOUTH:
1- Inclusion and diversity projects in Erasmus+ (pag. 8 - 11)
2- Annex I: Practical guidelines to work with inclusion and diversity in Erasmus+ in the field of Youth - keys to success (pag. 15 - 18)
3- Annex II: Best practice inclusionproject examples (pag. 19 - 24)
Introduction: introduce the EUROPEAN
INCLUSION AND DIVERSITY STRATEGY FOR YOUTH and give an overview of the different kinds of special needs recognised by Erasmus+
I Part:
Distribute one piece of the aims to each participant and tell them to find the other/others and stick the aim next to the related image on the flipchart paper. When all the aims are completed let them read aloud the aims and make reflecions.
II Part:
divide the group in three smaller groups and give to each group two copies of a section of the EUROPEAN INCLUSION AND DIVERSITY STRATEGY FOR YOUTH. Tell them to read and analyze the content of their material and to prepare a presentation of its content for the rest of the group. Give them highlighters, markers and a flipchart paper. The participants have 30 min. for analyzing and preparing the presentation.
Ask the participants to sit in a circle and to share the acquired knowledge on the EUROPEAN INCLUSION AND DIVERSITY STRATEGY FOR YOUTH, starting fro group n.1 to group n.3.
Debriefing: stimulate the exchangeof questions and reflections among the participants.
