The objective of "Documentary filmmaking in youth projects" is to inspire young people and youth workers to use documentary filmmaking as a tool in their work.
"Documentary filmmaking in youth projects" is a guide booklet meant to inspire others to use documentary filmmaking in their work with young people.
Why documentary film?
What is the power of filmmaking and how can it be used to address such issues as discrimination and social exclusion? How does the filmmaking affect the people in front of and behind the camera?
These are some of the topics that this guide booklet touches upon.
The tool was developed as a part of the "Heart, keep beating" documentary film project; a Youth Initiative created by young people from Denmark, Portugal and Romania. The booklet sums up our experiences of working with this documentary film.
